First Outdoor Procession and Benediction at Grotto

We finally got it! Our first outdoor procession and Benediction of the season. It was such a beautiful day for it - sunny and about 78F.

What you see here is a weekly event at Assumption Grotto, following the noon Mass, weather permitting. It begins about 1:00 and ends 15 minutes later. Here are some shots.

The Grotto patiently awaits the Blessed Sacrament....

A quick 180 after taking the first picture, was this scene. What is not visible is roughly 100-150, taking up the rear. Some, including myself come to the 9:30, have a hamburger or hot dog - grilled weekly (and ice cream, of late), then we socialize and wait in the cemetary for the procession, or head over to the Church to join the line. Those physically able, kneel all along the route.

A shot from about 50 feet into the cemetary.

Assumption Grotto Pastor, Fr. Eduard Perrone, leads us into a brief adoration of Our Lord...

Tantum ergo Sacramentum....

Benediction!
