Noteworthy events coming up for Grotto-goers.....and others!

There are some things coming up that I would like to tell you about (and I know I'm forgetting something so someone email me or leave a comment).

PARISH MISSION
First, there will be a parish mission at Assumption Grotto with by Rev. Titus Keininger, ORC and Rev. Matthew Hincks, ORC, September 4-7. See the OA flyer for details of times and schedule.

ST. MONICA SODALITY MASS
Also on Saturday, September 6th, will be the St. Monica Sodality Mass at 4:00pm. You can learn more about this through the St. Monica Sodality of Michigan website (scroll down for schedule info specific to Assumption Grotto as the Sodality also operates at Sts. Cryil & Methodius). If you have loved ones who have strayed from the faith, you will want to get involved in this monthly at one of the two parishes locally, St. John Cantius in Chicago, or find out how you can start a chapter in your parish.

HELPERS OF GOD'S PRECIOUS INFANTS
Next, the Helpers of God's Precious Infants of Michigan will hold it's fall vigil on September 13, 2008 starting at 7:30am with Mass with Bishop Daniel Flores at the Shrine of the Little Flower on Woodward and Twelve Mile Rd., and the vigil outside the notorious Hodari clinic in Lathrup Village. See the post at the Helpers of God's Precious Infants blog, which includes an article in this week's Michigan Catholic.

INTERNATIONAL PILGRIM STATUE
I'm also going to be getting details from Maureen on the International Pilgrim Statue which is touring the metro Detroit area with the approval of the Archdiocese the next few weeks. I'll let you know where you can spend time with this statue when I get it in a separate post. Stay tuned!

Also....September 13th Assumption Grotto will have Fatima Devotions.
