New Member of the Grotto choir? Toddler sings, "Tantum Ergo"

We'd like to claim him, but he is not at Grotto.

Go ahead and say it: Aaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

And some think Latin is too hhhaaaaaarrrddd.

Written by Thomas Aquinas, the last two verses of the Pange Lingua are all to familiar to Grotto-goers. But, in case you need a cheat sheet while the video is playing, here you go.

Tantum ergo

Tantum ergo Sacramentum
Veneremur cernui
Et antiquum documentum
Novo cedat ritui:
Praestet fides supplementum
Sensuum defectui.

Genitori, Genitoque
Laus et iubilatio,
Salus, honor, virtus quoque
Sit et benedictio:
Procedenti ab utroque
Compar sit laudatio.
Amen.

Te Deum Laudamus! Home
