300 Anglicans Defect to Rome

I pray this is just the beginning.

UP to 300 Irish Anglicans could soon be joining the Roman Catholic Church to the traditional hymn tune 'Faith of Our Fathers'.

A report in today's 'Irish Catholic' newspaper claims that three Church of Ireland parishes are Romeward-bound, and may soon be received by Pope Benedict into full communion with the Catholic Church.

What wonderfull news! Thank you for sharing. For this to be happening in Northern Ireland is especially wonderful (two of the three parishes are in Northern Ireland. Specifically, they are in Counties Down and Tyrone, which I believe are not even the majority Catholic buffer counties).

My understanding is that Anglican use parishes also tend to be more traditional, so this is wonderful news all around.

From all I've heard of Anglican-use Catholic parishes, I wouldn't hesitate to assist at Mass at one, if traveling. I'm sure I would feel quite at home.
