Benediction took place around 5:00pm following the Day of Recollection offered by Fr. Basil Nortz, ORC, who was visiting from Brazil. This pictures does not do justice to the number of people who were present. The lounge was packed beyond capacity with a few people listening in the hallway. Father spoke on the Eucharist - an ever popular subject at Assumption Grotto.
People headed to the main church for about 45 minutes of Adoration and confessions were heard, as well. Below, I noticed as soon as I walked into the Church that the incense smoke used hours earlier at the 9:30am Mass was still lingering and accented by the sun's rays beaming through the stained glass windows.
