Bishop Quinn is flanked by several priests and deacons, including Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life. Bishop Quinn was the celebrant at a Mass preceding the burial of aborted babies, found in an abortion clinic dumpster.
Well, we have lost Bishop Quinn. Detroit's loss is Winona, Minnesota's gain. He has been appointed as Coadjutor Bishop for the diocese of Winona and will take the helm in that diocese when Bishop Bernard Harrington goes into retirement. He turned 75 in September.
Tom Peters, the American Papist, has more. Detroit is now down to two auxiliary bishops - Reese and Flores, and Cardinal Maida has been coasting into retirement, awaiting the appointment of his successor.
