Feast of the Presentation

Giovanni Bellini's "Presentation of Jesus at the Temple" c. 1460

Today is the Feast of the Presentation, also referred to as Candlemas.  Every year, Fr. Perrone goes all out on the 7:30 AM Mass, complete with candlelight procession.  This being the Saturday that Carmelites have their Mass at 8:30, some will undoubtedly miss it.  There will be boxes and boxes of blessed candles available for a modest donation, so be sure to go to the sacristy and ask for some.  If you don't make it today, try Sunday after Mass.

Some claim that Luke himself didn't know . . .
