Bill Donohue of the Catholic League has something to say about the original Three Stooges and their series versus the new, 2012 movie. I'm really disappointed to have seen what I did when I viewed one of the trailers which showed a Catholic nun in a mock-bathing suit "habit" as she exits a pool half-naked. I'm a huge fan of the Three Stooges (I know, unusual for a female, but the old series still makes me laugh). Here is the trailer. It starts out fine. But wait until they get to the pool-scene, just past the picture shown above.

It's a free country and filmmakers are free to exercise their free speech. But I can exercise my right not to see a movie that mocks Catholicism and is made by anti-Catholic bigots.

Last night he said to Conan O’Brien that dressing as a nun in the film makes it easy to understand why nuns are “so mean.” He explains, “You know, the outfits might have something to do with that. Forget about the fact that they never have sex. If you gave me a choice of no sex or having to wear that outfit the rest of my life, I would definitely take the no sex.”
I often find myself gravitating back to older programs and TV shows because there was something positive about them. While the culture was not without it's own problems 40-50 years ago (i.e., racism), virtue was elevated and seen as good. Today, the more unvirtuous, the more it is elevated and seen as "good".
Back to this movie.... Who are the sponsors? It might be good to let them know we don't appreciate our faith being mocked. If it were happening to any other world religion, the press would be all over it. I won't hold my breath waiting for them to express outrage at the disgusting dig producers took at my faith. Yeah. I'm taking it personal.
