Heartbreaking video of Longford Cathedral (Ireland) burning down on Christmas

Saddening video of a Cathedral burning down in Ireland.  Some are wondering if it was arson on account of the recent abuse scandal

However, keep in mind that many parishes are all decked out for Christmas.  I recall a close-call a few years back at Grotto when some decorations at the top of the apse began to smoke soon after the candles were lit. The decorations were a little too close.  Then there are Christmas-tree light plugs plugged into the back of other plugs multiple times.  Old receptacles have limitations unlike newer ones and can overheat.  .

Let's pray that it wasn't arson.

Te Deum Laudamus! Home

The obedient are not held captive by Holy Mother Church; it is the disobedient who are held captive by the world!
