Archbishop Burke appointed to Supreme Tribunal

Pictured above is Archbishop Burke when he visited Assumption Grotto some months ago for the Marian Catechists.

Thanks to Argent, we have some early news about Archbishop Burke:

The Holy Father has named Archbishop Raymond Burke of the Archdiocese of St. Louis as a member of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature. This is a tribunal of appeal from the Tribunal of the Roman Rota. It is the highest court of appeal available in matters concerning the Church's tribunals. Other members named include Cardinal Zenon Grocholewski, Prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education, and Archbishop Lluís Martínez Sistach of the Archdiocese of Barcelona.

A couple more stunning photos of Archbishop Raymond Burke as he elevates the Body and Blood of Jesus at Assumption Grotto parish. What is seen is the ad orientem posture, where the priest faces east. So many people think this was abrograted with Vatican 2 and this is not the case.
