Saturday: Grotto's Got Talent; Sunday - First Time "Tridentine" at St. Hyacinths; and, Oktoberfest at St. Josephs

There are three events this weekend that you might be interested in if you live locally here in metro Detroit.

First, if you have never seen a "Coffee House", musical concert or stage musical, you will want to stop in at Grotto this Saturday evening. News Flash: Grotto's Got Talent!!!

Proceeds from this go to help the parish, so please do what you can to be there. I can guarantee that you will be floored with some serious talent. You might be floored by some of the good company too - LOL. Be there!

First-time "Tridentine" at St. Hyacinth's this Sunday at 1 pm

Yet another parish in Detroit will celebrate the usus antiquior for the first time in over 40 years.  It's at 1:00 this Sunday, so for hard-core Grotto-goers, you can always make it a two-fer.   From my inbox

St. Hyacinth in Detroit will be having its first TLM since Summorum Pontificum on September 25th at 1pm, the celebrant will be Fr. Louis Madey of SS. Cyril  and Methodius Seminary..... Any efforts to promote this would be appreciated.

Grotto's Choir to Sing at St. Joseph's Oktoberfest at 3 pm
Last, but not least - after you have gone to the Concert at Grotto on Saturday night, gave St. Hyacinth's a good showing for their first "Tridentine", it's just a skip away to stop in at St. Joseph's for their Oktoberfest. The Assumption Grotto Choir will be singing in the choral concert from 3:00-5:00. I went for the first time last year and had fun (the beer and brats were pretty good too).
