Feast of the Assumption - Come to Grotto on August 15, 2006

August 15th, 2006

Assumption Grotto Church
13770 Gratiot Avenue • Detroit, MI 48205
(313) 372-0762 or (313) 839-8626

Why not fulfil this holy day of obligation at one of the many Masses at Assumption Grotto?

Please note that parking is very difficult as people pack the place for blocks around from early morning until the end of the candlelight procession in the Grotto Cemetary when it all ends. I really encourage people to consider parking at De LaSalle and taking the shuttle in, unless you can be there very early in the morning. Shuttle transportation is a great way to come to Assumption Grotto if you are concerned with a drive in to the old neighborhood. See the details below on transportation.

Schedule of Events

Masses

Note: If you must get up early the next day for work, I will tell you that the procession ends around 9:30pm based on my experience last year. The shuttles may take more time to get everyone back to De LaSalle if there are a large volume of people waiting to head back.
