Right to Life - Life Chain 06 at Assumption Grotto

October 1, 2006 marked the annual Right to Life - Life Chain event. This is a peaceful event where people come, pick up a sign provided, and stand humbly and quietly by the road side from 2:00-3:30pm. Many people driving by honked their horns in support.

Considering that the event began an hour after the last Mass, and with so many people going to the 9:30am Mass, it was a pretty good turnout at nearly 130. Of course, it makes it easy when you can pick up a barbequed hot dog or hamburger - the usual Sunday special for a buck or two. Plus, it was the monthly Holy Hour for Vocations, with adoration.
